Fully Fund Maryland Public Transit

Tell the General Assembly that Maryland deserves investment in Transit!

Act Now

Maryland Deserves Transit Investment

There’s a critical vote on public transit coming up in the Maryland General Assembly when they meet in special session Dec. 6 – 10th.
Gov. Larry Hogan vetoed critical legislation to fund public transit repairs and maintenance. When the General Assembly meet in special session Dec. 6 – 10th, they need to vote to overturn his veto.

We need your help to:

1. Thank your legislators for their support of Maryland public transit and
2.  Let them know you support the vote to override Gov. Hogan’s veto.

Maryland Transit Authority’s (MTA) bus, rail and MARC system is failing. And according to MTA  it needs $2 billion in capital funding to address deferred maintenance and critical upgrades necessary to maintain service. The Transit Safety and Investment Act, passed earlier this year by the Maryland General Assembly, will help fill this funding gap.

Please take a minute to send an email to your legislators thanking them for being a public transit leader and letting them know you support voting to overturn the Gov.’s veto of the Transit Safety & Investment Act.

It’s time to invest in great public transit in Maryland.

We call on our elected leaders to:

Watch the video below to hear from Maryland transit riders why we need the Maryland Transit Safety and Investment Act.
