The Transit Safety & Investment Act will now become law. Thank you to everyone for your support!
It’s time to invest in great public transit in Maryland.
We call on our elected leaders to:
Show us the money. Congress sent Maryland hundreds of millions of dollars to keep buses, trains and paratransit running safely and reliably during the pandemic. Account for the dollars and the results.
Support essential workers. Roughly four in 10 transit riders are essential workers — the people who hold our communities together, such as grocery clerks, nurses, lab techs, and sanitation and utility workers.
Prioritize transit. There's more to transportation than highways. Let’s get people out of cars to reduce congestion and pollution.
Support Maryland’s economy. There is no recovery if a large portion of our workforce cannot get to work safely and reliably. Transit is essential to move our economy forward.
Support communities of color. Investing in smart, clean, reliable, public transit should be a right, not a privilege. The time is now.
Build back better. Maryland should be a leader in public transit, not the system with the most breakdowns.
